Management of Natural Resource

NATURAL RESOURCES:




Anything in the environment  which can  be used is called natural resource. A system of controlling the use of natural resource and avoid wastage of natural resource is called management of natural resource. EX= coal, petroleum, water and wildlife.

WHY DO WEE NEED TO MANAGE OUR RESOURCES:

Wee need to manage our natural resource because the resources of earth are limited. because the continuously increase in the population. The demand of food, wood, water and petroleum products are increases day by day.

FOREST AND WILDLIFE:

A large area on which the trees and plant are grow naturally are called forest and the animals and birds which live in the forest are called wildlife.

WATER FOR ALL:

As wee all  known that the water is the basic necessary for all life such as human beings, animals and plants but most parts of the country are suffer from the shortage of water. But in such areas the  water are present in a limited value. Human being cannot survive without water. Wee all known that the India is a big country so this country needed more water. There ae various sources of water which are available for us: Rain, River, Ponds, Lakes, Tube wells, etc, but the rain is very important source of water. There are another source of water which is called rainwater harvesting, in this system the water is stored in ground for use. The rainwater is also fills the lakes and ponds for a ling period of time for after uses. in fact many cities of our countries is depend only on lakes for water.

POLLUTION OF RIVER WATER:

The river is the main source of water but the pollution of river water increases day by day. The pollution of river water is caused due to the dumping of untreated sewage and industrial waste into it. Many industries dump their industrial waste into river water and this industries also discharge chemicals effluents into river water. Human Activities like bathing, washing clothes etc are the another cause of pollution of river water. and the river water became acidic and the fishes present in it was killed by the toxic chemical effluents.

COAL AND PETROLEUM:

Coal and petroleum are the natural resources which are found deep under the earth and they are called fossil fuels. Coal is used as a fuel in big industries to generate electricity at thermal power plant. Petroleum is used as a petrol and diesel in motor vehicles and aeroplanes. Kerosene and LPG is also obtained from petroleum.

COAL AND PETROLEUM IN THE EARTH ARE LIMITED:

Coal and petroleum were formed from the degradation of biomass of plants and animals which live on past under the earth millions of years ago.  Coal and petroleum are present on earth on a limited value if we use coal and petroleum daily so they will get exhausted in the near future. so, we should use coal and petroleum products in a limited value.

STEPS TO REDUCE THE CONSUMPTION OF COAL AND PETROLEUM:

There are some steps which can be helpful for saving coal and petroleum products:-

1] Switch off unnecessary lights and fans. this will save a lot of electricity.

2] Use CFL and  LED lights to save electricity.

3] Solar cooker should be used to cook food.

4] Pressure cooker should be used for cooking food to save LPG or kerosene.

5] Bicycles must be used for covering short distance to save fuels like petrol and diesel.
